Complication of unerupted teeth

When tooth is impacted or partially impacted ,the bacteria that cause dental caries can be  active
Periodontal Disease
Erupted teeth adjacent to impacted teeth are predisposed to periodontal disease.
As it decrease amount of bone on the distal aspect of adjacent tooth, with deep periodontal pocket on the tooth
Root Resorption
Impacted teeth cause sufficient pressure on the root of an adjacent tooth to cause root resorption.

Pain of unexplained origin:

Pain in the area with no obvious reason. Also swelling and maybe associate with infection
Odontogenic cyst and Tumors
The dental follicle may undergo cystic degeneration and become a dentigerios cyst or keratocyst.
A meloblastoma may developed from epithelium within the dental follicle
Fracture of the jaw
impacted third molar occupies space that is usually filled with bone, this weaken the mandible and render the mandible to fracture.
Loss of the space
Due  to  uneruption of the teeth and mesial moving tendency  of other teeth they interact and take of  this tooth position
Drifting and malalignment
Unerupetd teeth cause malalighment  of neighboring  teeth and eventually erupt into  ectopic position  and also shift Medline if it is maxillary central incisor  fail to erupt
Aesthetic
Unerupetd teeth especially   central incisor  make the smile so unpleasant  and affect the person  self  esteem  making their communication  to minimum with  community
